About Trekking to Elephant Beach

Trekking to Elephant Beach in Andaman, a combination of scenic forest trails and pristine beaches with vibrant marine life, is one of the most rewarding nature hikes on Havelock Island. What could be more exciting than trekking through the lush green surroundings of the Andaman?

Elephant Beach can be reached by boat. Trekking to Elephant Beach is an adventure that travelers must do if they want to experience the natural beauty of Havelock Island. This short guided trek will take you through tropical jungles full of native flora, fauna, and other wildlife to Elephant Beach, a serene beach with crystal clear waters. This 2 km trek is relatively easy and ends at a beautiful beach with coral reefs and colorful marine biodiversity.

Some species even have tags with their names. You might also spot some interesting insects if you are lucky. You must travel nearly 300 meters before you reach the beach. This is an experience of its own.

The path isn't very difficult. You can either choose to go with a guide or on your own. The snorkeling is usually done by 1:00 pm after the tour. We start early, around 8:00 am, when the temperatures are moderate. We can adjust the schedule if you arrive late. We ensure that refreshments are brought along during the trek. A free umbrella is available on request.

After reaching Elephant Beach, relax and enjoy the beach. You can snorkel later, paying for it on-site, depending on your interests. This spot is ideal for reef exploration and underwater photography because of its clarity and healthy coral reefs. Its accessible, safe waters and shallow reef structures make it a great destination for snorkelers or sea walkers.

Local vendors will sell refreshments along the trail or at Elephant Beach. This is a great way to take a break during your trip.
